Principles

What we stand for

A few principles we have set for ourselves along the way, so we keep learning, shipping, and building forward.

01 · Fail fast

You are not supposed to avoid every failure. You are supposed to eliminate bad directions early, keep the lesson, and move on.

Short, honest cycles beat perfect plans. Make the smallest test that can prove you wrong, put it in front of reality, and let the result shape the next move.

Failure is useful when it arrives quickly and changes what you do.

02 · Play the cards in your hand

You do not win by waiting for the perfect setup. Start with the time, skills, relationships, tools, and access you already have—and use them fully.

Constraints are not an excuse to stand still. They show you the game you can play today. Make the strongest move available now, then earn better cards through action.

03 · If it is not on your to-do list, it is procrastination

Activity is not the same as progress. If a task was not important enough to schedule, be honest about why you are doing it now.

A clear list protects the work from reactive busyness, comfortable side quests, and problems that only feel urgent. Choose the few actions that matter, give them time, and finish them before inventing new work.

Change the list when the evidence changes—not whenever the work becomes uncomfortable.

04 · Do not trust your ideas

Ideas are hypotheses. Numbers, behavior, and commitments tell you whether they survive contact with reality.

No signup, click, reply, booking, or credit card means there is not enough evidence yet. Enthusiasm can start a test, but it cannot be the result of the test.

Measure the action closest to real value. Reality lives in conversion, not conviction.

05 · Distribution is the real game

A product does not exist for the market while it remains only in your head—or hidden where nobody can find it.

Traffic, trust, and repeated access to the right people are part of the product. Build distribution from the beginning: talk to users, earn an audience, create useful reasons to return, and learn which channels compound.

Obscurity kills more quietly than competition.

06 · Fake it until you make it—responsibly

Pre-sell before you build. Test the promise with a landing page, a conversation, or a manual version before investing in the complete product.

The sequence is simple: landing page first, customer commitment second, product later.

There is one condition: you must be capable of delivering what you promise. Simulate the machinery, not the outcome. Never fake evidence, customers, capabilities, or trust.

Keep building forward

Use these principles to shorten the distance between an idea and reality:
